What is a micro-village?

A micro-village is an intentional community of private homes clustered around shared space. Also known as a "Pocket Neighborhood" each family has their own space, but also has shared space optimized toward interactions with neighbors. At The Commons, every living area is private, with a mix of shared indoor and outdoor spaces.

Can I buy property at The Commons?

We have not developed a structure for that yet, but we are working toward creating a way for interested families to have ownership in the property and build equity while living here.

Is this some kind of cult?

Nope! Anyone is welcome to join us as we practice life in "Beloved Community" (as championed by MLK and many others). Our purpose is to live and love like Jesus, learning to live out a life of love together. 

We know that there are seasons for everything–we expect people to come and go as life circumstances change. Living in community can seem pretty radical though, and we deeply desire to live in such a way that people see something different about how we care for each other here!
